INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast, boneless, skinless, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Naan bread, for servin

STEPS

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, garam masala, cumin, paprika, and salt.
  2. Add cubed chicken to the marinade and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade and add to the pan. Cook until lightly charred on all sides.
  5. Stir in tomato puree and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes.
  6. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream; simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
